Zayed Higher Organisation Introduces Psychology Dictionary Award To Enhance Research In Psychology

The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has introduced the "Psychology Dictionary for Scientific Research" Award. This initiative is part of the Emirati Russian Psychology Dictionary project, which was established in collaboration with Ural Federal University in Russia. The award aims to foster scientific research and academic studies in psychology by recognising outstanding contributions in the field.

Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, highlighted that this award offers a significant platform for researchers to showcase their work. He stated, "The award represents a remarkable opportunity for scientists and researchers to present their work and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of psychology." This initiative is expected to positively impact the academic community by enhancing understanding and developing specialised terminology in both the UAE and Russia.

The award seeks to motivate researchers and scientists to pursue excellence by presenting pioneering research. It also aims to spotlight individuals and institutions dedicated to advancing psychological knowledge through impactful community initiatives or educational programmes. The focus is on promoting an inclusive community through innovative research efforts.

Submissions for the award are open from today until 15th January 2025. Winners will be announced during a special ceremony on 15th February 2025. The award encourages participation from a diverse range of individuals within the academic community, ensuring varied contributions and valuable research submissions.

Eligible participants include undergraduate and graduate students, independent researchers, academics, psychology specialists, academic practitioners, research groups, or collaborative teams. All submissions must be original articles or research not previously published or submitted elsewhere, maintaining the award's credibility.

The award comprises several categories: Outstanding Research in Cross-Cultural Psychology, Innovative Methodological Contribution, Best Use of Dictionary GPT Technology, and Rising Researcher Award. Each category recognises different aspects of excellence in psychological research.

Honouring Pioneering Contributions

The first-place winners in each category receive a monetary prize along with an official certificate of appreciation. Second-place winners also receive a monetary prize and a certificate acknowledging their high-quality contributions. Third-place winners are awarded a monetary prize and a certificate of encouragement for their valuable role in presenting meaningful research content.

The award also acknowledges the importance of technology in modern research by including a special category for the best use of "Dictionary GPT" technology—an advanced AI tool trained on dictionary data. This highlights how technology can enhance research methodologies.

The initiative honours pioneering research addressing challenges in translating psychological concepts between Arabic and Russian languages. By doing so, it supports efforts to adapt these concepts effectively across cultures.

This project underscores the strategic partnership between ZHO and Ural Federal University aimed at promoting scientific collaboration between the UAE and Russia. It reflects a commitment to fostering an enlightened community through education and innovative research practices.
