Zayed Bin Mohammed Highlights Innovations At DRIFTx 2025 For Smart Mobility Development
H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently attended DRIFTx 2025, an event organised by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office as part of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week. Held at the Vehicle Dynamic Area, Yas Marina Circuit, the event showcased cutting-edge advancements in smart mobility and autonomous systems across various domains, including air, land, and sea.
During his visit, Sheikh Zayed was introduced to the latest innovations in autonomous vehicles and drones. These technologies are powered by advanced artificial intelligence solutions and were presented by both local and international companies. The event highlighted Abu Dhabi's commitment to fostering innovation in smart mobility.
Sheikh Zayed emphasised that hosting the second DRIFTx demonstrates Abu Dhabi’s dedication to supporting the autonomous systems sector. This initiative aligns with the emirate’s vision for a future focused on smart and sustainable mobility under the guidance of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council.
While visiting various UAE company pavilions, Sheikh Zayed praised the significant progress made in developing smart and autonomous mobility systems. He stressed the importance of nurturing national talent to boost innovation and enhance Abu Dhabi’s leadership in advanced technologies within this sector.
Accompanying Sheikh Zayed on his tour was His Excellency Badr Salim Al Olama, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Investment Office, along with several members of the exhibition’s organising committee. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort behind this significant event.
