Zayed Authority For People Of Determination And Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Join Forces To Enhance Healthcare Services

The Zayed Authority for People of Determination has partnered with Sheikh Khalifa Medical City to improve healthcare and rehabilitation services for People of Determination. This collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance service quality and expand offerings. The agreement was signed by Abdullah Abdulalee Al Humaidan and Saeed Jaber Al Kuwaiti, representing both organisations.

Key initiatives under the MoU include regular visits by a rehabilitation physician and field assessments for students. Additionally, there is a plan to establish a Bee Café branch within Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, operated by People of Determination. This initiative aims to promote workplace inclusion and economic empowerment.

The agreement outlines collaboration on periodic medical examinations and specialised assessments. Rehabilitation programmes will be delivered by qualified medical teams, ensuring high standards of care. Training healthcare professionals on best practices for supporting People of Determination is also a priority.

Al Humaidan highlighted that this partnership reflects the UAE leadership’s dedication to empowering People of Determination both medically and socially. He emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships in strengthening early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term rehabilitation efforts across the healthcare sector.

The Zayed Authority will provide products from its 3D-printing workshops to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City free for one month. Additionally, they will support the production of medical staff uniforms through their sewing workshops. These initiatives reinforce the principle of empowerment through work.

Bader Al Qubaisi stated that the MoU is a strategic step towards enhancing collaboration between healthcare and social entities in Abu Dhabi. It supports the development and inclusion of People of Determination while aligning with national priorities.

Al Kuwaiti noted that SEHA, as part of PureHealth, prioritises delivering comprehensive, world-class care. The agreement aims to address therapeutic and rehabilitative needs while ensuring full societal participation for People of Determination.
