Zayed Authority For People Of Determination Launches Comprehensive 2026 Strategy For Empowerment And Inclusion

The Zayed Authority for People of Determination has unveiled its 2026 strategy, aligning with the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi's vision. This announcement was made during an extensive staff meeting. Abdullah Al Humaidan, Director-General of the Authority, highlighted that this strategy is pivotal in empowering People of Determination through social, educational, and professional integration.

He emphasised the Authority's commitment to collaborating with government bodies, private sectors, and civil society. The aim is to create initiatives that support families of People of Determination and promote equal opportunities across various fields. This collaboration is guided by leadership directives to foster an inclusive society in Abu Dhabi.

The strategy is structured around four primary areas. It aims to provide comprehensive care and education through inclusive programmes for People of Determination and their families. Additionally, it focuses on vocational training and employment to ensure job access and financial independence.

Community engagement is another key area, involving People of Determination in cultural, social, and sports activities. The strategy also includes raising awareness and offering family support. Institutional competitiveness will be strengthened by developing human capital, optimising resources, and investing in innovation and partnerships.

The strategic priorities for 2026 include maintaining services while reviewing mandates and structure. Expanding care and rehabilitation programmes is essential to support the independence of People of Determination. Strengthening vocational training is a priority to ensure their financial independence.
