People Of Determination Empowerment Through Zayed Authority Infrastructure Partnership

Zayed Authority for People of Determination has entered a new long-term partnership with Noor Al Sahraa General Contracting Company, signed in Abu Dhabi, to integrate People of Determination into the infrastructure sector through structured training, employment and workplace adjustments that target sustainable jobs rather than short-term placements.

This agreement builds on earlier cooperation between the two organisations, during which vocational workshops at the authority produced 341 road guidance signs and Noor Al Sahraa employed 15 People of Determination in technical and administrative positions across its worksites, prompting both sides to formalise a broader strategic framework.

During the first phase, the authority set up a dedicated training programme inside its vocational workshops, where trainees learned practical skills needed for the road signage industry while Noor Al Sahraa adapted its work environment and processes so People of Determination could move smoothly into on-site roles after completing their preparation.

Under the new partnership, Zayed Authority for People of Determination will run specialised training programmes, nominate suitable trainees for vacancies within Noor Al Sahraa, train company employees on effective interaction and support methods, and deploy its engineering affairs team to inspect facilities and confirm they are ready to receive different disability categories.

Noor Al Sahraa will, in turn, train and employ People of Determination according to available roles on its projects, hire graduates from the authority’s vocational workshops once training finishes, sponsor carpentry and printing workshops, help produce road signs and company uniforms, support community events, and participate in building a dedicated sports field within the authority’s vocational rehabilitation unit.

Director-General Abdullah Abdulali Al Humaidan said the agreement strengthens the professional empowerment of People of Determination and is aligned with Abu Dhabi Government efforts to create a comprehensive and sustainable employment model that offers genuine job opportunities and supportive work environments across different economic sectors.

Al Humaidan noted that the previous cooperation phase showed People of Determination can innovate and deliver in specialised technical fields, which encouraged Zayed Authority for People of Determination to widen collaboration with private sector entities, using this partnership as a practical example of how structured programmes can lead to real jobs.

The agreement was signed by Abdullah Abdulali Al Humaidan and Eng. Ali Mustafa Saleh Al Basyouni, General Manager of Noor Al Sahraa Company, in the presence of several officials from both sides, signalling shared responsibility for implementation and ongoing coordination as new training groups and infrastructure projects come on stream.

Al Basyouni stated that Noor Al Sahraa views the partnership as part of its national duty towards all community segments and stressed that People of Determination have abilities that allow effective participation in infrastructure projects, which the company aims to harness through targeted training, inclusive work environments and continued cooperation with Zayed Authority for People of Determination.
