ZATCA Calls For Timely April Tax Deduction Form Submissions To Dodge Fines

The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has issued a reminder to all entities within Saudi Arabia that are subject to tax deductions, emphasizing the importance of submitting their April tax deduction forms in a timely manner. This call to action is aimed at ensuring compliance and avoiding the imposition of late payment fines. Entities are encouraged to utilize ZATCA's online platform for submission at zatca.gov.sa within the designated period to prevent penalties.

Failure to meet the submission deadline will result in a fine of 1% of the unpaid tax for every thirty days of delay from the due date. This measure underscores the authority's commitment to enforcing tax regulations and ensuring that all entities contribute their fair share towards the nation's fiscal health.

Submit Tax Forms to Avoid Fines

ZATCA has also extended multiple channels of communication for taxpayers in the business sector who require further information or assistance regarding tax deduction. These include a unified call center that operates around the clock, available at the number 19993, and digital platforms such as the X platform under the handle @Zatca_Care. Additionally, inquiries can be directed via email to [email protected] or through live chat on ZATCA’s official website.

The imposition of a tax deduction is applicable to all payments made from sources within the Kingdom to non-resident entities that do not have a permanent establishment in Saudi Arabia. The rates for these deductions are outlined in Article 68 of the Income Tax Bylaw and Article 36 of its implementing regulations. This policy is part of Saudi Arabia's broader efforts to regulate international transactions and ensure that income generated within its borders is appropriately taxed, contributing to the national economy.

This announcement was made public through SPA at 15:41 local time (12:41 GMT), underlining ZATCA's proactive approach in communicating essential tax-related information and deadlines to the business community. The authority's emphasis on timely compliance and its provision of multiple support channels reflect its dedication to facilitating a smooth tax submission process for all entities involved.
