Saudi Arabia has directed $27 billion specifically towards aiding the Yemeni people. In 2014, official development assistance (ODA) represented 1.9% of Saudi Arabia's gross national income (GNI), exceeding the UN's target for nations to allocate 0.7% of their GNI to ODA. The meeting highlighted KSrelief's extensive humanitarian projects across 102 countries, valued at $7 billion.

KSrelief has implemented 976 humanitarian projects worth over $4 billion in vital sectors, including 479 initiatives for women and 478 for children. Noteworthy projects in Yemen include rehabilitating war-affected children and child soldiers, the Saudi Project for Landmine Clearance "MASAM," and an artificial limbs program.

The meeting also spotlighted the Saudi program for separating conjoined twins, recognized globally for its achievements since starting in 1990. This program has conducted 61 separation surgeries within Saudi Arabia over 34 years, evaluating cases from 26 countries, including several from Yemen.

Saudi Arabia ranks among the top host countries for refugees worldwide. Approximately 1,093,000 refugees reside within its borders, making up about 5.26% of the population. This includes 561,911 refugees from Yemen, 262,573 from Syria, and 269,442 from Myanmar.

Gratitude and Recognition

Bin Mubarak expressed deep gratitude for KSrelief's significant contributions to supporting disadvantaged communities globally. He thanked the Saudi government and its citizens for their extensive humanitarian aid to Yemen, highlighting the strong fraternal ties between both nations.

This collaboration underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing relief and support to those in need worldwide while strengthening its relationship with Yemen through ongoing humanitarian efforts.
