Yas Waterworld In Abu Dhabi Expands With Over 20 New Rides And Attractions For Families

Yas Waterworld Yas Island in Abu Dhabi has unveiled its eagerly awaited expansion, enhancing the waterpark's allure. Covering 13,445 square metres, this new section invites visitors to explore the "Lost City," a thrilling extension of the park's original tale, 'The Legend of the Lost Pearl'. This development promises to elevate visitor experiences with a host of new attractions.

The grand opening event on Monday was graced by Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director-General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral. VIP guests, media representatives, and influencers also attended. The expanded area introduces over 20 new rides and experiences, along with a fresh dining venue.

The expansion brings Yas Waterworld's offerings to over 60 world-class attractions. From adrenaline-pumping thrills to family-friendly splash zones, the diverse additions cater to families, friends, and adventure enthusiasts alike. Visitors can expect unforgettable moments filled with discovery and excitement.

Among the standout attractions is Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side duelling tube raft ride. It offers fast-paced drops and competitive twists for thrill-seekers. Bahamut’s Rage provides an exhilarating log flume journey packed with splashes and surprises for those seeking action-packed fun.

Younger guests can enjoy Al Sahel Junior, the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango ride featuring exciting drops and winding slides. This high-energy adventure ensures splash-filled fun for children. Additionally, Al Mafras offers a desert-themed water slide with a splash landing for younger thrill-seekers.

Red Dunes presents a twisting enclosed aqua tube slide designed for younger adventurers. Meanwhile, Dawwama Junior offers a scaled-down version of the iconic ride with mini vortexes and quick descents tailored for little ones.

Families can embark on shared adventures with Mataha Madness, a raft that disorients and delights with every twist. Alternatively, they can experience the spin-powered rush of Sadaf Swirl, the region’s first high-speed raft ride designed for shared enjoyment.
