Entries Invited For Xposure Photo Awards 2025 With Two New Categories

The International Photography Festival, Xposure, has officially opened its doors for submissions to the World Photography Awards for its ninth edition in 2025. This year, the competition welcomes entries across nine categories, including two new additions: Sports Photography and Altered Images and Artificial Intelligence. These categories join the existing lineup of Architectural Photography, Mobile (Smartphone) Photography, Landscape Photography, Night Photography, Portraiture Photography, Street Life Photography, and a special category for young photographers under 18 residing in the UAE.

The introduction of the Sports Photography category aims to capture the essence of motion and the dynamic spirit of various sports. Open to professionals and amateurs alike, this category seeks to document unforgettable moments and offer a new perspective on sports photography, covering everything from motorsports to sailing. Meanwhile, the Altered Images and Artificial Intelligence category is designed to push the boundaries of traditional photography. By incorporating digital processing and AI, participants are encouraged to create compelling visual narratives that showcase innovative storytelling techniques.

Since its inception, the Xposure Photography Awards have been a platform for celebrating artistic excellence across different photography genres. From capturing the architectural beauty and innovation in cityscapes to exploring the wonders of nature through Landscape Photography, Xposure has consistently highlighted the creative potential within the photography community. The Mobile Photography category celebrates the power of smartphones in capturing spontaneous moments of beauty and human emotion, while Night Photography focuses on the interplay of light and shadow in creating mesmerizing images.

The Portraiture and Street Life Photography categories offer photographers a chance to document human emotions, identities, and the vibrant energy of urban environments. Submission Details

Organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Xposure is now accepting entries from both professional and amateur photographers until October 30 this year. Participants are allowed to submit up to 10 photos across any of the competition's categories. Winners can look forward to attractive financial rewards, with first and second-place winners in each category receiving prizes. Moreover, the top five entries in each category will be given the opportunity to display their work at the next edition of the festival.
