Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon Launches In Riyadh With Over 4,000 Participants From Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Interior, alongside Tuwaiq Academy, has initiated the largest hackathon globally, named "Absher Tuwaiq." This event is scheduled from December 11 to 13 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center. It is part of the Absher Conference 2025, under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. Over 4,000 Saudi participants from across the Kingdom are involved.

Participants in this hackathon have a chance to win prizes up to SAR1 million. Additionally, three seats in the MVPLAB product program are available, sponsored by the National Technology Development Program. The initiative's goal is to empower over 100,000 men and women throughout Saudi Arabia. It aims to develop exceptional national talent and strengthen the country's global position in advanced technologies and digital transformation.

The hackathon is organized in strategic partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority. It features four main tracks: artificial intelligence and security forecasting; digital identity and security applications; Internet of Things and field technologies; and innovation and development of Absher services. Teams participating will work on building innovative technological solutions in a competitive yet collaborative environment over three days.

Specialists and experts from various technical fields will supervise these teams as they develop their projects. This setup encourages creativity and collaboration among participants while ensuring high-quality outcomes. The event not only fosters innovation but also highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing its technological capabilities on a global scale.

The Absher Conference will follow from December 17 to 19, continuing the partnership between the Ministry of Interior and Tuwaiq Academy. Elm Company is the main sponsor for this conference. Celebrating ten years since the launch of the Absher Forum, this conference introduces a new concept and approach.

This event will showcase the latest national digital innovations, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s leadership in various fields globally. By adopting fresh ideas and strategies, it aims to highlight advancements made over the past decade while setting new goals for future growth.
