World Quran Symposium 2025 Launches In Malaysia To Promote Quranic Values And Ethics

The 2025 World Quran Symposium commenced in Kuala Lumpur, orchestrated by Malaysia's Department of Islamic Development under the Prime Minister's Office. The theme for this year's event is "Embracing the Qur'an, Engaging in Civilization." Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair, Imam of the Prophet's Mosque, delivered the keynote address at the opening ceremony.

Attendees included Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Dr. Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Religious Affairs. Scholars, intellectuals, and those interested in Islamic affairs were also present. Sheikh Al-Budair highlighted that the Islamic nation stands as the finest among nations due to its foundation on monotheism and knowledge.

World Quran Symposium 2025 Begins in Malaysia

The symposium aims to spread Quranic values throughout the Muslim world. It seeks to integrate moral virtues from the Holy Quran into everyday life and increase societal awareness of ethics' role in advancing humanity. These efforts aim to build a cohesive Muslim society guided by Quranic teachings.

Sheikh Al-Budair stressed that Islam encourages Muslims to cultivate the earth and achieve significant accomplishments in art, science, and industry while maintaining religious and moral integrity. He praised scholars and inventors within the Islamic community for continuing their forefathers' legacy of innovation and contribution.

Sheikh Al-Budair's participation is part of a visit program organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. This initiative aims to enhance communication with Muslim communities globally, fostering brotherly relations and promoting moderation.

He emphasized that Islam urges its followers to advance humanity while upholding religion, morality, and identity. The symposium serves as a platform for discussing how these principles can be applied in modern society to foster development.

The event underscores the importance of integrating ethical values derived from the Holy Quran into daily life. By doing so, it seeks to honor humanity and contribute positively to society's progress.
