World Governments Summit To Convene From 3rd To 5th February 2026 In Dubai

The World Governments Summit (WGS) will be held from 3rd to 5th February 2026, under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This event reflects the UAE's dedication to global partnerships, sharing expertise, and creating innovative business models for a better future.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the WGS, stated that the summit remains a crucial platform for shaping government work and fostering international collaboration. He said, "The World Governments Summit's 12th edition saw the strengthening of governmental partnerships and the exchange of best practices that played a crucial role in shaping comprehensive government strategies, policies, and visions."

World Governments Summit Set for February 2026

The summit's success is evident in its extensive global participation, with over 6,000 attendees. The 12th edition was notable for its diversity, featuring governments from all continents and significant private sector involvement. This broad representation is essential for addressing future global trends.

Al Gergawi highlighted that the summit aims to stimulate human intellect by anticipating challenges and crafting effective solutions. He added, "By transforming these challenges into opportunities, the summit strives to accelerate global progress across all domains." The focus is on evolving government systems for a brighter future.

WGS 2025 began in Dubai with the theme 'Shaping Future Governments.' It brought together over 30 heads of state and government, more than 80 international organisations, and 140 government delegations. The agenda included 21 forums on major future trends and transformations.

The summit featured over 200 interactive sessions with more than 300 speakers such as presidents, ministers, experts, thought leaders, and decision-makers. Additionally, there were over 30 ministerial meetings attended by more than 400 ministers. These discussions are vital for developing comprehensive strategies.

Strategic Reports and Knowledge Sharing

During the summit, 30 strategic reports were published in collaboration with international knowledge partners. These reports are instrumental in guiding future policies and practices. The ongoing efforts ensure continuous evolution towards effective governance systems worldwide.
