Talabat Executives Engage In High-Level Dialogues At World Governments Summit 2026
talabat, an on-demand delivery platform in the MENA region, announced on 3 February 2026 its participation in the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai, held from 3–5 February under the theme ‘Shaping Future Governments.’ Senior leaders will examine how digital platforms influence daily life, retail, mobility and broader economic activity in emerging markets.
The World Governments Summit 2026 is described as the largest leadership gathering in its history, bringing more than 60 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers and representatives from more than 150 governments. Organisers expect more than 6,250 participants, including global experts, academic figures and senior executives from major corporations worldwide.

Across the event, talabat plans to highlight how digital platforms can support inclusive and sustainable economic growth while easing everyday life at scale. The company points to connections between infrastructure, technology and consumer experience across food, retail and mobility, arguing that these integrated systems can help emerging economies expand access to services efficiently.
The summit agenda lists more than 445 sessions and over 450 global speakers, including heads of state, ministers, specialists, thinkers and policy leaders. More than 700 CEOs of large companies are expected, alongside 87 laureates of major international scientific awards, including the Nobel Prize, and delegations from over 80 international and regional organisations and academic institutions.
Toon Gyssels, CEO of talabat, will speak in the session Design Digital Lifestyles: From Infrastructure to Experience. This session examines how emerging markets might bypass legacy systems and create seamless and inclusive digital ecosystems. Wassim Makarem, Chief Retail Officer, will join the Future of Retail and Luxury roundtable on AI-driven personalisation and omnichannel retail models.
