Abu Dhabi Hosts World Future Energy Summit 2024 To Propel Sustainable Energy Dialogue

The World Future Energy Summit 2024, a pivotal event organized by Masdar, is set to commence tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This three-day summit, now in its 16th iteration, is dedicated to furthering the objectives outlined at COP28. It will host over 350 international experts, including policymakers, academics, and innovators, under the theme "The Energy To Lead". The summit stands as a crucial global platform for discussing sustainable future solutions across various sectors such as solar energy, eco-waste management, water conservation, clean energy initiatives, smart cities development, climate change, and environmental protection.

One of the key highlights of the event is its focus on green finance and e-mobility forums, aiming to address critical issues like investment unlocking, private sector engagement, carbon integration strategies, resilience financing, and the reduction of fossil fuel dependency. The opening address will be delivered by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. Additionally, Francesco La Camera, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency, will be among the distinguished speakers.

The summit's agenda includes a significant conference titled "Pathways to 1.5°C", which will delve into the outcomes of COP28 and discuss strategies for maintaining global temperature increases within this critical threshold. Panel discussions will feature insights from industry leaders on achieving sustainability and renewable energy targets. Moreover, the event will spotlight solar and clean energy advancements, with keynotes from prominent figures in the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure.
