World Franchise Council Officially Recognises Emirates Franchise Association As Approved Entity In UAE
The World Franchise Council (WFC) has officially recognised the Emirates Franchise Association as the designated Franchise Association in the UAE. This recognition enhances its global alliances and strengthens its influence in the franchising industry. The recognition came after the association participated in the WFC's annual meeting in Mérida, Mexico, where representatives from 25 countries gathered to share expertise and discuss global best practices in franchising.
Noor Al Tamimi, a Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairperson of the Emirates Franchise, stated, "This recognition by the World Franchise Council reflects our organisation’s commitment to actively contributing to the development of the franchise sector locally and globally. It also highlights our efforts to raise awareness on the sector’s innovative and sustainable potential while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs and young investors in the UAE to explore promising projects."

Al Tamimi highlighted that the Emirates Franchise plays a crucial role in promoting economic diversification and expanding business opportunities within the UAE. By offering customised services, strategic advice, and consultations, it supports entrepreneurs, startups, and investors while aiding local brand growth. The association also fosters connections between franchisors and franchisees, promotes best practices, and encourages innovation to bolster the national economy.
The Board of Directors of the Emirates Franchise includes representatives from all seven emirates. Key members include Noor Al Tamimi from ADCCI; Maher Al Aleeli from Ajman Chamber of Commerce; Mohamed Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi from Sharjah Chamber; Ammar Al Aleeli from Umm Al Qaiwain Chamber; Aref Khalifa Al Mizki from Ras Al Khaimah Chamber; Sultan Jemei Al-Hindassi from Fujairah Chamber; and Saleh Abdullah Lootah from Al Islami Foods Company.
The Emirates Franchise Association's participation in international meetings like those held by WFC helps solidify its global partnerships. These gatherings provide a platform for exchanging knowledge on franchising trends and innovations worldwide. Such interactions are vital for staying updated with international standards and practices that can be adapted locally to benefit UAE's franchise sector.
This recognition by WFC not only acknowledges past achievements but also sets a foundation for future initiatives aimed at enhancing franchising activities within the region. By aligning with global standards, the Emirates Franchise Association aims to create more opportunities for local businesses to thrive internationally.
Through these efforts, the association seeks to empower young investors and entrepreneurs by providing them with access to promising projects. This approach is designed to stimulate economic growth while ensuring sustainability within various sectors across the UAE.
