World Defense Show 2026 Sees Strong Global Demand As 96% Of Exhibition Space Is Already Booked

The World Defense Show (WDS) has announced that 96% of its exhibition space for the third edition is already booked. Scheduled from February 8 to 12, 2026, in Riyadh, this event will be under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The announcement was made during WDS's participation in the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition in London.

The upcoming show will emphasize future defense integration through advanced technologies. A key feature will be the Future Defense Lab, showcasing innovations in AI, unmanned systems, robotics, and more. This lab will also host thought-leadership sessions and launch an Investor Program to connect investors with exhibitors.

Strong Demand for World Defense Show 2026

WDS CEO Andrew Pearcey highlighted the show's role in shaping the defense industry's future. He noted British companies' interest in participating, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 opportunities. "The keen interest of British companies reflects the importance of opportunities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030," he stated.

The event expects delegations from 80 countries and around 925 exhibitors, up from 773 in 2024. British participation is set to grow significantly, with a 15% expansion of the UK pavilion compared to 2024. So far, 28 British companies have confirmed their participation, including BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce.

New features for WDS 2026 include the Unmanned Systems Zone, Naval Zone, and Saudi Supply Chain Zone. These additions aim to enhance collaboration and define global defense's future. The exhibition space will expand to 273,000 square meters, marking a 58% increase since 2022.

Engagement at DSEI Exhibition

During its participation at DSEI in London from September 9 to 12, WDS engaged directly with global leaders and decision-makers. This engagement highlighted the unprecedented demand for the third edition of WDS. The team emphasized the importance of these interactions for shaping future defense strategies.

The registration platform for trade visitors has been launched, allowing individuals and companies to secure badges for the event. With limited space remaining, WDS urges interested exhibitors to confirm their participation promptly.
