World Crisis And Emergency Management Summit 2025 To Focus On Global Resilience And Innovation

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced the 'World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit' 2025. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this event will occur at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on April 8-9. It aims to enhance global cooperation in crisis management with a theme of "Together Towards Building Global Resilience".

During a press conference at Erth Hotel, NCEMA revealed that this summit will feature the largest international participation in its history. Attendees will include senior leaders, experts, academics, and representatives from governmental and private sectors. The summit seeks to address global challenges through innovative solutions and foster discussions among thought leaders worldwide.

World Crisis Summit Set for April 2025

The summit will also host two key exhibitions: the ‘Crisis Management Technologies Exhibition’ and the ‘Generation Readiness Exhibition’. These exhibitions aim to showcase technological innovations in emergency management and raise community awareness about disaster preparedness. This initiative is part of national efforts to enhance readiness for future challenges.

Mariam Yaed Al Qubaisi, Chairperson of the Organising Committee, highlighted the UAE's role in building a comprehensive response system based on innovation and partnerships. She stated: "This significant global summit reflects the UAE’s continuous efforts, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support international initiatives aimed at enhancing preparedness and effective crisis response."

Al Qubaisi emphasized that global resilience is now crucial due to increasing challenges like climate change and health crises. She added: "The summit aims to unify efforts, promote knowledge exchange, and ensure a more efficient and rapid response to both current and future crises." The event will focus on leveraging technology for strategic planning and proactive crisis strategies.

The main sessions will cover strategic emergency planning, advanced technology's role in risk prediction, and international collaboration's importance for coordinated responses. Workshops, panel discussions, and cooperation agreements between government and private entities will facilitate knowledge exchange for integrated crisis management policies.

Exhibitions Highlighting Modern Technology

Salman Ali Al Salman noted the significance of both exhibitions held alongside the summit. He said: "The Crisis Management Technologies Exhibition is being held at a time when we are witnessing unprecedented technological transformations." This exhibition showcases AI-powered solutions that enhance risk prediction and decision-making.

He further explained that modern technology plays a vital role in improving crisis response through tools like drones for monitoring disasters and AI-driven early warning systems. These technologies enable real-time decision-making based on data analysis.

Educational Initiatives for Youth

The Generation Readiness Exhibition focuses on instilling emergency preparedness culture among children through interactive programs. Activities include workshops on emergency strategies, family preparedness plans, smart tools introduction, and simulation scenarios to enhance readiness.

This educational initiative aims to foster responsibility within communities while preparing them for future crises. Al Salman concluded by highlighting NCEMA's commitment to raising awareness about best practices in crisis management across society segments.

Diverse Participation Expected

The summit expects diverse participants including ministers, officials, experts from international organizations, academia representatives as well as private sector stakeholders. Strategic partners include UAE ministries such as Defence & Foreign Affairs along with entities like Cyber Security Council & Dubai Police General Headquarters.
