Wonderland Entertainment City Opens At Sheikh Zayed Festival 2025-2026 With Family-Friendly Attractions
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Authority, recently inaugurated Wonderland Entertainment City in Al Wathba. He was joined by Hamid Saeed Al Neyadi, Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Presidential Court and Vice Chairman of the Festival’s Higher Committee, along with several officials. During his visit, he explored the new entertainment city's facilities and praised its modern attractions.
The Higher Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has announced that Wonderland's activities will officially commence on December 5th. This follows the completion of all necessary preparations to welcome visitors of all ages. As a major addition to the 2025-2026 festival edition, Wonderland aims to enhance the festival's diverse offerings.
Wonderland is designed as a comprehensive family entertainment destination, combining fun and safety. The city covers a vast area capable of accommodating large crowds. It features illuminated walkways and comfortable seating areas that create a lively atmosphere. Its strategic location near the main festival plaza ensures easy access from various entry points.
The entertainment city offers a wide array of attractions suitable for children, teens, and adults. These include a roller coaster, an ice skating rink, a haunted house, a mirror maze, and more. There are also archery activities, skill-based games, bumper cars, an electronic gaming hall, and pony rides for young children.
The bowling zone includes two halls: one for adults with advanced electronic lanes and another for children with age-appropriate equipment. This setup provides a safe and enjoyable experience for young visitors while offering space for friendly family competitions.
All facilities at Wonderland have been developed following high safety and quality standards. From operating systems to field supervision by specialised teams overseeing visitor movement and attraction use, every detail has been considered. Pathways and service areas such as cafés ensure smooth navigation throughout the city.
Festival Vision
The Higher Committee highlighted that launching Wonderland aligns with their broader vision to expand recreational options available this season. New zones and experiences aim to engage families, youth, and children alike. This addition strengthens the festival's position as a cultural destination blending heritage with arts and leisure.
The Sheikh Zayed Festival welcomes visitors daily from 4 pm to midnight at Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi. On weekends and public holidays, it extends until 1 am. Wonderland remains open throughout these hours.
