Winners Announced For The 11th Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Photographic Award For Arabian Horse In Morocco
The Union of Arab Photographers (UAP) recently revealed the winners of the 11th Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Photographic Award for Arabian Horse. This annual event is part of the Horse Exhibition in El Jadida, Morocco. The announcement was made during a ceremony attended by Dr. Habib Marzak, who awarded prizes to winners across four categories.
Adeeb Shaban, President of the UAP, highlighted that the award's success is due to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support. This backing has helped create a comprehensive archive featuring photographs and videos of Arabian horses. Shaban noted that this edition saw increased participation, showing growing interest in this unique art form.
In the Arabian Horse Beauty category, Fatima Abdel Fattah El-Sayed from Egypt claimed first place. Younes Koussira from Morocco won the Tbourida (Fantasia) prize. Salem Sarhan Al-Sawafi from the UAE took home the Horse Events and Festivals prize. Samer Saeed Saeed from Syria topped the Equine Videography category.
Youssef bin Shukr Al-Zaabi, Vice President of the UAP, announced a new Artificial Intelligence category within the award. This aims to encourage photographers to explore innovative works that reflect artistic and technical advancements, aligning with the UAE’s vision to foster creativity and innovation.
Dr. Habib Marzak praised the award's high standards in organisation and artistic presentation at the ceremony's end. He emphasised its role as a significant platform in the Arab world, showcasing efforts that enhance photographic creativity in Arabian horse photography.
This year's event underscored its importance as a cultural platform for photographers interested in Arabian horses. The introduction of new categories like Artificial Intelligence reflects an ongoing commitment to evolving with technological advancements while maintaining traditional art forms.
