Saudi Arabia Braces For Temperature Drops And Active Winds Thursday

The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather update indicating a significant drop in temperatures across various regions in Saudi Arabia. This weather change is expected to affect the Eastern Region, Riyadh, Qassim, and Najran, where active winds could reduce horizontal visibility significantly.

Additionally, dust-stirring winds are forecasted to affect areas within Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk. These conditions are not only expected to impact visibility but also contribute to a noticeable decrease in temperatures. Particularly, the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Hail, and the highlands of Tabuk are set to experience a substantial drop in temperatures. There is also a possibility of frost formation in these colder regions.

Wave heights will also vary, with central parts seeing waves from one to two meters, northern parts from one and a half to two and a half meters, and southern parts experiencing smaller waves from half a meter to one meter. The sea state is anticipated to range from relatively calm to choppy across these areas.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast predicts northwesterly winds at speeds of 25-50 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from one and a half to two and a half meters, indicating a relatively calm to choppy sea state.
