UAE Weather Update: NCM Warns Of Rain And Convective Clouds This Week
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has recently alerted the public to a series of weather changes expected to sweep across the UAE in the coming days. This advisory highlights a dynamic weather pattern, including the formation of convective clouds and varying rainfall intensities, which could impact various regions throughout the country.
Starting Monday afternoon, the NCM forecasts the emergence of convective cloud formations over coastal and internal areas. These clouds are likely to bring rainfall, accompanied by lightning and thunder at intervals. The situation is set to evolve from Monday evening through to Tuesday afternoon, with weather instability commencing over Western regions before spreading towards Abu Dhabi, and Northern and Eastern areas. These regions are expected to witness an increase in convective cloud activity, resulting in rainfall of varying intensities. Lightning, thunder, and even hail in some locales are also anticipated during this period.

The weather pattern will continue its unpredictable course into midweek. From Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning, another wave of weather instability will originate from the Western areas. This will extend across scattered regions of the country, bringing with it an upsurge in convective cloud formations. These clouds will be associated with rainfall that varies in intensity, alongside potential lightning, thunder, and hail occurrences. By Wednesday afternoon, while cloud formations are expected to persist over Eastern and Northern areas with continued rainfall, a gradual decrease in cloud activity is forecasted by nightfall.
NCM's Call for Caution
In light of these forecasts, the NCM has issued a call for residents to exercise caution. The Centre advises the public to adhere strictly to safety measures during periods of rainfall and to steer clear of areas prone to flooding or water accumulation. This proactive approach aims to mitigate any adverse effects that may arise from the forecasted weather changes.
As these weather conditions unfold, residents across the UAE are urged to stay informed about the latest weather updates and advisories issued by the NCM. By taking necessary precautions and staying abreast of developments, individuals can ensure their safety and minimize any potential disruptions caused by the fluctuating weather patterns.
