Watch And Jewellery Middle East Show Opens Tomorrow At Expo Sharjah Featuring Over 500 Exhibitors

The Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show's 55th edition is set to commence at Expo Centre Sharjah, running until 1st June 2025. This biannual event, organised by Expo Sharjah with backing from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, features over 500 exhibitors and 1,800 designers and industry experts. It highlights the latest in watches, jewellery, gold, precious stones, and diamonds.

Spanning 30,000 square metres, the exhibition showcases elite watch and jewellery makers from countries like the UAE, India, Italy, the UK, the US, Singapore, China, Japan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Lebanon. This year introduces new international participants from Russia, Mexico, Tanzania and Egypt. The exhibits cater to refined tastes of high-end consumers in the region.

A standout feature this year is the unveiling of a diamond necklace measuring 108 metres. Adorned with over 600 lab-grown diamonds set in 18-karat rose gold, it aims for a Guinness World Record on opening day. The show builds on last year's success when over 80,000 visitors attended—the highest recorded so far—reinforcing Sharjah’s status as a luxury jewellery hub.

Scheduled before Eid Al Adha and amid growing UAE gold trade activity, this exhibition provides a strategic platform for designers to launch exclusive collections. It also allows them to engage new customers while showcasing signature innovations. According to the World Gold Council, UAE's gold sales reached 23.4 tonnes valued at US$1.8 billion in early 2024.

This figure represents 17.3 percent of total Middle East sales. Such statistics underscore the exhibition's regional significance as one of the largest global gatherings in the gold and jewellery industry. It draws collectors and trend followers seeking rare gemstones and bespoke designs by top houses.

The event is open daily from 13:00 to 22:00 and on Fridays from 15:00 to 22:00.
