Wadi Lajab's location at the base of Al-Qahr mountain makes it a favourite among adventurers and archaeologists. The site is rich in ancient history, with inscriptions that intrigue many. The gully extends approximately 11 kilometres in a north-south direction. After three kilometres, it meets another rift stretching two kilometres.

The valley's accessibility and natural beauty make it a top tourist destination in the Kingdom. Located on the eastern side of Al-Qahr mountain, visitors can reach it through a pass. As they travel three kilometres along this route, the pass opens up to reveal the valley's stunning features.
Visitors are greeted by flowing waterfalls, fresh ponds, palm trees, and gardens hanging on the valley's sides. This breathtaking sight captivates all who visit. The area's popularity has surged due to its convenient location and year-round appeal.
Recently selected as one of thirteen sites in Saudi Arabia to become a geopark, Wadi Lajab is part of an exclusive group known as Global Geoparks. This designation has spurred numerous development projects aimed at fulfilling the Saudi Green Initiative's goals.
