Volunteer Scouts Extend Generous Hands To Serve Pilgrims During Hajj Season
Scouts volunteering to serve pilgrims during the Hajj season are driven by religious motivation, patriotic feeling, and humanism. Operating under the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association (SABSA), they project a positive image of the Kingdom's charitable work for pilgrims from around the world.
Scout leaders offering public service in camps in Makkah, Madinah, and other holy sites expressed pride and honour in assisting pilgrims, in coordination with government agencies. Scout Fayez Al-Rasheed highlighted that he and his colleagues spare no effort to serve pilgrims, emphasizing the facilities and ease of procedures provided by the leadership to enable pilgrims to perform religious rituals with peace of mind.

Scout Ghanem Al-Ghanem praised the human and material resources harnessed by the state to serve pilgrims, reaffirming the scouts’ determination to help. Ahmed Al-Qahtani, another scout, mentioned that scouts devote their time and effort to assist pilgrims. Scout Khaled Al-Bahr stressed that scouts are committed to honouring the trust placed in them and contributing to improving the quality of service provided to pilgrims.
"Being selected to serve pilgrims is a great honour that every Saudi is proud of," said scout Tayea Al-Dossari. Meanwhile, scout Fahd Al-Juhani noted that he and his team participate annually in volunteering work during Hajj, considering it an honour to ensure the comfort of pilgrims. Serving pilgrims "is like an award for every volunteer and a great responsibility which motivates them to give their best in the service of pilgrims," said scout Faleh Al-Mutairi.
The dedication of these scouts reflects a broader commitment within Saudi Arabia to support and facilitate the pilgrimage experience for millions of Muslims worldwide. Their efforts are part of a coordinated approach involving various government agencies aimed at providing seamless services during one of Islam's most significant events.
