Two Holy Mosques Open Doors To Volunteers Of All Genders

The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced new volunteer opportunities at the Two Holy Mosques. This initiative aims to attract volunteers and invest in national talents to serve pilgrims and visitors. The effort is coordinated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the National Center for the Non-Profit Sector, and a Saudi incubator for volunteer work.

The Saudi incubator provides a regulated environment for volunteer activities, ensuring a safe relationship between entities offering volunteer opportunities and volunteers. Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, head of religious affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, emphasized the importance of volunteer work in promoting social values and fostering societal cohesion.

Volunteering Open at Holy Mosques

Dr. Al-Sudais noted that both the Quran and hadith encourage a spirit of volunteerism within Muslim society. He stated that the culture of volunteering is deeply rooted in Islamic heritage. He also highlighted that this initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals by developing social responsibility among individuals and groups, aiming to involve over a million volunteers.

Volunteering at the Two Holy Mosques is expected to enhance the culture of volunteerism and its impact on both individuals and society. Dr. Al-Sudais stressed that this opportunity respects Islamic and social values while honoring the service provided by volunteers. He also mentioned that the religious system offers services dedicated to caring for older people and those with special needs, encouraging participation in various religious services.
