Visa On Arrival For UAE Nationals Extended To Three More Airports In India
Citizens of the UAE who have previously secured an e-Visa or a regular visa for India can now benefit from the Visa-on-Arrival service. This facility is accessible at several Indian airports, including Cochin, Calicut, and Ahmedabad, in addition to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
To qualify for this service, UAE nationals must visit India for business, tourism, conferences, or medical reasons. The stay should not exceed 60 days. Additionally, their passports need to be valid for at least six months.
However, those with parents or grandparents born in Pakistan are not eligible and must obtain a visa through the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General in Dubai.
Upon arrival in India, UAE nationals must complete an application form (Annexure -A) and present it at the visa counter along with a filled disembarkation card. These forms can be completed online via the official website or through the "Indian Visa Su-Swagatam" mobile app. Proof of sufficient funds and a return ticket may also be required.
The Visa-on-Arrival service is available at nine designated international airports: New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Calicut, and Ahmedabad. A fee of Rs. 2,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency per passenger is charged for this service.
The Visa-on-Arrival allows a stay of up to 60 days in India. It is non-extendable and non-convertible. Travellers can make two visits within this period if they opt for a double-entry visa.
The Visa-on-Arrival covers business trips, tourism activities, conferences, and medical purposes. There is no limit on how many times one can use this facility annually.
This initiative aims to simplify travel procedures for UAE nationals visiting India while ensuring compliance with necessary regulations.
