Filipino player Carlo Biado emerged victorious at the World Pool Championship, held at the Green Halls in Jeddah. The event spanned six days and featured 128 top players from over 40 countries. Vice Minister of Sport Bader bin Abdulrahman Alkadi presented the trophy to Biado after his win.

Biado secured his place in the final by defeating fellow Filipino Bernie Regalario with an impressive score of 11-3. In a gripping final match against American Fedor Gorst, Biado clinched the title with a 15-13 victory. This intense match lasted over three hours and showcased Biado's skill and determination.

The championship attracted significant attention, drawing large crowds during its final days. Extensive media coverage from both local and international outlets highlighted the event's global appeal. The tournament also saw numerous upsets and introduced promising talents from various countries.

Fedor Gorst, who was the reigning world champion from 2019 to 2024, reached the final by defeating Albanian player Kledio Kaçi with a score of 11-7. Despite his strong performance, Gorst could not retain his title against Biado's formidable play.

Alongside the main championship, the "Saudi Arabia Junior Open 2025" took place over four days. Indonesian player Albert Yanuarta triumphed in this competition, defeating German Pius Baier with a score of 9-5. This victory marked Yanuarta's second title in the junior series, solidifying his status as a rising star in billiards.

The organisation of these events was a collaborative effort between the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation and Matchroom company, under the Ministry of Sport's supervision. This partnership ensured smooth execution and contributed to the tournament's success.
