The Vice Minister reiterated Saudi Arabia's dedication to supporting Somalia by strengthening relief and development efforts aimed at achieving stability and reducing human suffering. He also welcomed the reconciliation agreement between Somalia and Ethiopia, signed in Türkiye, marking a new beginning based on peace between these nations.

This agreement signifies a genuine intent to resolve tensions and build a future focused on security, stability, and shared growth for both countries and the entire organization. Elkhereiji emphasized Saudi Arabia's strong condemnation of attacks that threaten national unity and stability.

He called for intensified collective efforts to combat extremism in all forms, as it poses threats not only to state security but also undermines coexistence and sustainable development foundations. "The Kingdom commends the Federal Republic of Somalia for securing non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2025–2026," Elkhereiji stated.
