Vice Minister Of Environment Emphasises Operational Readiness For Hajj Season 1446 AH
Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, highlighted the need to boost operational and technical readiness in all sectors for this year's Hajj season. This initiative aims to enhance integration and coordination with relevant authorities to provide optimal services for pilgrims and Umrah performers while maintaining high safety standards.
During a meeting at the ministry's branch in Makkah Region, Al-Mushaiti was briefed on the ministry's preparedness for the Hajj season 1446 AH. The discussions included ensuring the availability of agricultural and food products in public markets to meet pilgrims' needs while maintaining food supply safety.

After the meeting, Al-Mushaiti inspected the quarry at Jeddah Islamic Port. He assessed procedures for receiving livestock, mechanisms for inspection and veterinary quarantine, and compliance with national and international health standards to ensure animal shipment safety.
The vice minister also visited the ministry's central laboratory within the port. He reviewed its operational processes for examining and analyzing animal samples. The laboratory uses advanced technologies to deliver rapid and accurate results, enhancing the national biosecurity system during the Hajj season when animal imports increase significantly.
The emphasis on operational readiness is part of broader efforts to uphold safety standards during Hajj. By coordinating with relevant authorities, the ministry aims to provide seamless services to pilgrims while ensuring their safety through stringent health measures.
This comprehensive approach ensures that all necessary resources are available to support pilgrims effectively. The focus remains on integrating various sectors' efforts to maintain high service quality throughout the Hajj season.
The ministry's initiatives reflect a commitment to improving service delivery during one of Saudi Arabia's most significant religious events. By prioritising readiness and coordination, they aim to facilitate a smooth experience for all participants involved in this sacred journey.
