Vice Foreign Minister Addresses Global Challenges In High-Level Meeting
On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Vice Foreign Minister Eng. Waleed El-Khereiji participated in a high-level meeting in Riyadh. The meeting involved the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS), the UN Alliance of Civilizations, and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
During the meeting, El-Khereiji delivered a speech addressing pressing global challenges, including rapid political and economic transformations and growing geopolitical conflicts. He attributed these issues to common challenges and emerging developments such as climate change, cybersecurity, and advancements in artificial intelligence.

El-Khereiji emphasised the importance of collective action to address these challenges. He highlighted the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, attributing it to the international community's failure to maintain peace and security. He stressed that no party would prevail through aggression and that an immediate cessation of hostilities is necessary.
He called for securing sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid and pursuing a just peace process through a two-state solution. The vice minister reiterated Saudi Arabia's stance on enhancing understanding and cooperation to find solutions to geopolitical and economic crises.
El-Khereiji also mentioned Saudi Arabia's commitment to respecting diverse cultural, religious, and moral contexts. He noted that since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom has been developing a comprehensive framework to confront various economic and social challenges at the regional level.
The Kingdom prioritises enhancing regional and international collective action to contribute to tangible progress towards a more secure, sustainable, and prosperous future.
