Dubai: Parkin Announces Variable Parking Tariff Policy Taking Effect April 2025
Parkin Company PJSC has shared an update regarding the Variable Parking Tariff Policy set to commence in Dubai on 4 April 2025. This policy, introduced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), will implement peak and off-peak tariffs across all public parking spaces and about 35% of developer spaces. The tariffs depend on the type of parking facility and the time of use in the emirate.
The RTA has classified approximately 40% of Parkin's public parking portfolio as Premium Parking, a rise from the previously stated 35%. These premium areas are located in high-demand zones, often near public transport hubs. The remaining public parking spaces are designated as Standard Parking. Clear signage will indicate these zones along with tariff details.

As of the end of 2024, Parkin managed 3,200 parking spaces across six multi-storey car parks (MSCPs). The MSCP tariff remains AED 5 per hour, applicable every day throughout the year. However, if a vehicle is parked for over eight hours within any 24-hour period, a maximum fee of AED 40 will be charged.
The company's private developer portfolio included 19,200 spaces at the end of 2024. Following discussions with the RTA, it is anticipated that around 35% of these developer spaces will adopt the variable tariff policy starting from April 2025. Detailed tariff information for developer spaces is available in the appendix.
To manage increased vehicle volumes during grand events, a tariff of AED25 per hour will be in effect from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM in the area immediately surrounding the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The grand events tariff will be applicable to approximately 200 spaces. At the time of announcement, the following events are scheduled to take place at the DWTC in 2025:
- GITEX (13-17 October / 5 days)
- Beautyworld Middle East (27-29 October / 3 days)
- Gulfood Manufacturing (4-6 November / 3 days)
- The Big 5 (24-27 November / 4 days)
- Automechanika Dubai (9-11 December 2025 / 3 days)
Additional information about these changes can be accessed through Parkin's website, mobile app, and social media platforms. These resources provide comprehensive details on how the new tariff system will operate across different parking facilities in Dubai.
