U.S. President’s Visit To The Kingdom Highlights Importance Of Strengthening Bilateral Partnership

At a press conference on Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed the visit of U.S. President Donald J. Trump to Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the importance of this visit, which underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen their partnership for mutual goals. The economic ties between the two countries are significant, with trade from 2013 to 2024 reaching nearly $500 billion.

The Saudi-US Investment Forum played a crucial role in fostering economic collaboration. It hosted numerous meetings with leaders from the private sector and major companies in both nations. These interactions resulted in partnership opportunities valued at $600 billion, including agreements exceeding $300 billion across various sectors.

U.S. President's Visit Emphasises Partnership Importance

The partnership extends into key developmental and strategic areas, supporting Saudi Arabia's efforts to diversify its economy. This collaboration aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals by investing in strategic sectors within the U.S. economy for long-term benefits.

Prince Faisal praised President Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Syria, viewing it as a positive step towards rebuilding the nation. He expressed hope that this move would contribute to Syria's stability and revival, benefiting its people significantly.

The discussions between the leaders also covered developments in Yemen, Lebanon, and Sudan. Prince Faisal affirmed Saudi Arabia's full support for initiatives aimed at achieving security and prosperity in these regions. The Kingdom remains committed to promoting peaceful solutions through international cooperation.

The Foreign Minister emphasized the agreement between Saudi Arabia and the United States on ending the conflict in Gaza. They stressed securing hostages' release and ensuring continuous humanitarian aid flow. The Kingdom reiterated its commitment to a two-state solution along the 1967 borders for an independent Palestinian state.

Gulf-American Partnership and Syrian Stability

Prince Faisal highlighted the depth of the Gulf-American strategic partnership, showcased by the U.S.-Gulf Summit. This summit demonstrated a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation across various fields. The meeting included discussions on supporting Syria’s stability and addressing economic challenges.

A notable meeting took place between President Trump and Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, attended by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan participating via teleconference. They explored ways to support Syria’s stability following sanctions being lifted.

The conference concluded with a reaffirmation of Saudi Arabia's constructive role in bridging perspectives internationally. The Kingdom aims to continue promoting peaceful solutions alongside global partners, contributing positively to regional stability and development.
