University Of Sharjah Celebrates Graduation Of 190 Students From Career-Focused Diploma Programmes
The University of Sharjah (UOS) recently celebrated the graduation of a new group of professional diploma holders. This event, organised by the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, recognised 190 graduates. These individuals, including employees from partner organisations and job seekers, completed specialised training programs designed to meet the evolving demands of the labour market.
The ceremony highlighted a variety of diplomas. These included Leadership Development for the Sharjah Public Works Department and Occupational Health, Safety, and Business Continuity for the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority. Other diplomas covered Research Preparation, Scientific Research Methodology, Cybercrime Investigation, Addiction Rehabilitation, Human Resources Management, International Commercial Arbitration, and Interior Design.

Professor Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of UOS, emphasised the university's dedication to providing high-quality education. He thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for his belief in education's transformative power. Prof. Al Nuaimi also expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for supporting the university's academic initiatives.
Prof. Al Nuaimi congratulated the graduates on their achievements. He noted that their success is a milestone in UOS's pursuit of excellence. The 190 participants completed their diplomas through specialised tracks delivered by distinguished faculty members and external experts. This ensured a rich learning experience aligned with international best practices.
Dr. Asmaa Nassiri, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, highlighted that their programs develop technical and specialised skills. These programs empower participants to adapt to changing workforce demands. Graduates completed rigorous courses in fields like scientific research and cybercrime investigation.
Dr. Nassiri expressed gratitude to government partners for supporting these pioneering programs. She reaffirmed the centre's commitment to community service and human capital development through these educational initiatives.

The event featured performances by students from the Sharjah Academy of Performing Arts and included a short film showcasing the centre's activities. Attendees included prominent officials from partner organisations such as Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi from the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority and Colonel Ibrahim Ali Rashid Al Ketbi from the Ministry of Defense.
