University Of Sharjah And Ajman Digital Department Forge Strategic Partnership For Digital Transformation

The University of Sharjah (UoS) and the Ajman Digital Department have formalised a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in education, research, innovation, and digital transformation. This agreement was signed by Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of UoS, and Dr. Ohoud Ali Shehail, Director General of the Ajman Digital Department.

Prof. Agamy expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership during the signing ceremony. He highlighted that the MoU is comprehensive and aligns with national priorities in artificial intelligence, digitization, data protection, and information security. The agreement aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Dr. Shehail acknowledged the University of Sharjah's significant role in advancing scientific and research development within the country. She emphasised the department’s dedication to strengthening ties with academic institutions to positively impact government sector innovation and prepare future digital leaders.

The MoU reflects a joint commitment to supporting the UAE’s vision for a sustainable knowledge economy driven by innovation and technology. It includes cooperation on joint digital projects that enhance government and academic services through expertise exchange in AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

Students from UoS's College of Computing and Informatics will benefit from practical training opportunities within Ajman Digital Department's projects. These placements will provide students with hands-on experience in an advanced digital environment, fostering skills necessary for future technological advancements.

The partnership also includes joint training programs aimed at building digital, administrative, and technical capabilities. Additionally, shared research initiatives will encourage outstanding research projects among students and researchers.
