The University of Sharjah showcased its excellence at the 26th Arab Students Creativity Forum in Oman, hosted by the University of Nizwa. This event, themed "Opportunities and Challenges Facing Educational Institutions in the Age of Technological Change," was organised by the Arab Council for Training and Student Creativity. It attracted over sixty students from thirty-six universities across nine countries, including the UAE, Oman, and Jordan.
The forum aimed to foster student innovation and facilitate cultural exchange. It provided a collaborative platform for participants to present innovative projects and creative ideas. Through academic competition and partnerships between universities, the event highlighted the importance of research and inventive thinking in shaping the academic landscape of the region.

From a total of 172 submissions, only 60 research papers were selected for presentation. This selection process underscored the high quality of work presented at the forum. Among these distinguished presenters was Lamyaa Ahmed Al Kendi from the University of Sharjah’s College of Communication. Her research focused on "The Role of Graphic Design in Enriching the Learning Process in the Age of Digital Transformation."
Lamyaa's work, supervised by Dr. Noora Ahmed Alghooti, reached the final judging sessions at the forum. This achievement marked a significant milestone for both Lamyaa and her university in terms of student research and creativity. The forum also saw active participation from several faculty members from the University of Sharjah.
Professor Hani Ahmed Omar and Dr. Sami Suleiman Al Qatawneh were part of the jury panels evaluating scientific and artistic entries. They joined colleagues from various Arab countries to apply rigorous standards ensuring excellence and innovation in all submissions.
During the closing ceremony, Lamyaa Ahmed Al Kendi and Dr. Noora Ahmed Alhooti received honours for their exceptional contributions to student research. Their recognition came from Professor Fawaz Al Zghoul, Director of the Arab Council for Training and Student Creativity, alongside Professor Saleh Al Azri, Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Nizwa.
This event not only celebrated individual achievements but also reinforced the critical role that educational institutions play in nurturing creativity and research among students across the Arab world.
