Union Association For Human Rights Launches Inaugural Issue Of Emirates For Human Rights Magazine

The Union Association for Human Rights (UAHR) has introduced its new quarterly magazine, "Emirates for Human Rights," available in both Arabic and English. This publication aims to increase awareness about human rights, address current issues, and offer a platform for experts and specialists worldwide to engage interactively.

The magazine seeks to be a global human rights platform originating from the UAE. It aims to expand discussions on human rights and facilitate the exchange of ideas and expertise at both local and international levels. The first issue highlights the UAE's humanitarian journey since its union, celebrating the Document on Human Fraternity and the peace message from the UAE.

A significant portion of the magazine is dedicated to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. She is recognised as the Mother of the Nation and holds several prominent positions, including Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU). Her efforts in supporting women's rights and empowerment are prominently featured.

The inaugural edition also reviews the UAE's national initiatives to promote human rights. It includes UAHR's involvement in United Nations Human Rights Council sessions. The achievements within the first year of UAHR's establishment are highlighted, showcasing their contributions to international human rights efforts.

Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Kaabi, President of UAHR and Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, emphasised in her opening editorial that this publication serves as an independent media platform for human rights. It supports both national and international communities by presenting insights that enhance societal awareness of fundamental rights and freedoms.

Dr. Al Kaabi reiterated UAHR's dedication to delivering content that reflects national achievements in advancing human rights. She highlighted inspiring experiences that can be shared globally, ensuring that the magazine remains aligned with regional and international developments in human rights.

The magazine will provide objective analyses and comprehensive insights into building more just societies. By keeping pace with global human rights trends, it aims to contribute to creating progressive communities worldwide.

This initiative underscores the UAE's commitment to fostering dialogue on human rights issues while recognising significant contributions from leaders like H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. Through this publication, UAHR hopes to inspire positive change both locally and internationally.
