Unified UAE Numbers Launch Marks Transition To Smart Statistics For Enhanced Decision-Making

The UAE Government has introduced the Unified UAE Numbers, a national platform focused on AI-driven data and statistics. This initiative aims to deliver precise, real-time data to aid decision-making and prepare the UAE for future changes. The launch occurred during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025.

Developed collaboratively by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center (FCSC) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade, this platform is coordinated with federal and local entities. It will be hosted on the UAE Government Federal Network (FedNet) to ensure optimal security. The platform emerged from discussions at the Economic Data Retreat, which aimed to enhance the national statistics system's governance and data exchange.

UAE Launches Unified Smart Statistics Platform

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, stated, "This day marks our transition from a phase of compiling data to one of managing knowledge. From traditional statistics to smart statistics. This strategic transformation is embodied by the Unified UAE Numbers platform, which opens new horizons for decision makers to harness the power of data to drive development, national economy’s competitiveness and the UAE’s global status."

Al Zeyoudi further explained that this platform demonstrates how mature the UAE's statistics ecosystem has become. It now provides accurate, trusted real-time data essential for understanding economic trends and guiding policies and investments. This capability will ultimately bolster the UAE's ability to adapt to global changes and influence future developments in key sectors.

Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and General Secretary of the UAE Cabinet, remarked on the platform's significance: "The launch of the Unified UAE Numbers platform embodies our leadership’s vision for a future government driven by data and AI. This platform represents a major step in the government’s digital transformation, fostering a unified approach and empowering entities to make swift, precise decisions backed by trusted, real-time data."

Building a Smart Statistics Infrastructure

Al Hammadi emphasized that establishing a smart national statistics infrastructure lays a foundation for informed public policy. It enhances competitiveness and accelerates economic growth across all sectors. She noted that this initiative resulted from an Economic Data Retreat involving 28 national entities in its first phase.

The retreat established 380 economic indicators and created a unified framework for GDP data alongside balance of payment and investment metrics. Al Hammadi highlighted how crucial data is in shaping policy, setting priorities, measuring impact, and monitoring performance.

Ultimately, this platform ensures governance is driven by data, enhancing the UAE's readiness for AI adoption. It achieves seamless integration of national databases while fostering an agile regulatory environment that supports both innovation and sustainability.
