Unified Security Operations Centers Transforming Security And Humanitarian Services In Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Quality of Life Program, has launched the Unified Security Operations Centers (911) as part of Saudi Vision 2030. These centers integrate advanced systems and technologies to enhance security and emergency services management. This initiative aims to improve response times and contribute to a safer society while supporting sustainable quality of life improvements across Saudi Arabia.
With rapid technological advancements and population growth, the demand for improved security services has increased. The Ministry's establishment of these centers is a transformative step toward enhancing the Kingdom’s security framework. By consolidating operational rooms under one roof with unified technology, coordination among various security entities is significantly improved.

The adoption of a single emergency number, 911, has streamlined response efficiency by reducing duplicated efforts across agencies. This change has led to increased satisfaction among citizens, residents, and visitors. The centers are equipped with state-of-the-art communication systems to ensure accurate handling of reports and information.
A sophisticated database unification system allows for identifying potential security patterns and proactive threat responses. This centralized data analysis platform enables swift information sharing among different entities, providing decision-makers with actionable insights based on comprehensive data.
The National Center for Security Operations (911) currently operates in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, with plans for further expansion. Staffed by trained professionals using advanced technology, these centers provide integrated security services efficiently. Calls to 911 are answered within two seconds, with reports relayed to relevant agencies within 45 seconds.
Multilingual staff ensures effective communication with all segments of society. The unified 911 centers exemplify interagency cooperation and the power of technology in enhancing service quality. Representatives from various security forces and service entities work together to provide comprehensive services.
Comprehensive Service Integration
Each center includes representatives from public security patrols, traffic police, special forces, civil defense, environmental security, facility security, border guards, and drug enforcement. Service entities such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism, along with other organizations like the Saudi Red Crescent Authority are also integrated into these centers.
The 911 centers handle approximately 85,000 calls daily. They serve as a vital hub for emergency response and general inquiries. This reflects Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing top-tier security services while investing significantly in citizens' safety and well-being.
This initiative represents a major investment in ensuring a secure future for all individuals within Saudi Arabia's borders. It highlights the country's dedication to maintaining high standards in safety measures through innovative solutions.
