Designated Gates Announced For Umrah Performers At The Grand Mosque As Ramadan Approaches
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in a collaborative effort with various government bodies, has announced designated entry points for worshippers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah as the holy month of Ramadan commences. This initiative aims to facilitate smooth access for those coming to perform Umrah and partake in prayers during this significant period.
For Umrah performers, specific gates have been allocated for entry, including King Abdulaziz Gate, King Fahd Gate, Umrah Gate, and Al-Salam Gate. Additionally, worshippers can enter through gates numbered 85-93 on the ground floor, with the exception of gate 88. Other entry points include Ajyad Gate, escalators 65-66 at Al-Shabika, escalators 91-92 at King Fahd, and escalator 84.

Exit strategies have also been meticulously planned. Side gates 78-80, escalator 74, regular stairs numbered 71-73-85-88, King Fahd escalator, and gates 75-77 and 81-83 are designated for this purpose. In case of emergencies, Al-Shabika Gate will serve as an emergency exit.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility for all worshippers, entrances for people with disabilities have been thoughtfully designated. These include King Abdulaziz Gate, King Fahd Gate, Umrah Gate, and Zubair Gate on the ground floor. The first floor will see Ajyad Gate, Al-Shabika Gate, Othman Gate, and King Fahd escalators facilitating entry for those with disabilities. Moreover, the second floor and roof can be accessed through Al-Arqam, Umrah Gate, Ajyad, and Marwah escalators.
This comprehensive arrangement ensures that worshippers can participate in Ramadan observances at the Grand Mosque with ease and comfort. The collaboration between the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque and various government agencies underscores a commitment to providing a seamless experience for all attendees during this sacred month.
