UANOC Grants Hosting Rights To Bahrain For 2031 And Jordan For 2035 Arab Games
The UAE National Olympic Committee (NOC) took part in the 22nd General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC) in Amman, Jordan. The assembly, held on Thursday, covered key topics and approved several reports. HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of UANOC, led the meeting with representatives from 22 Arab National Olympic Committees.
Bahrain was chosen to host the 17th Arab Games in 2031. Jordan will host the 18th edition in 2035. The assembly also approved the final report for the 15th Arab Games held in Algeria in 2023. Additionally, they confirmed plans for the Arab Women’s Clubs Games set for Sharjah in 2024.

The assembly reviewed and accepted the annual report for 2023. Financial statements and an independent auditor’s report for the fiscal year ending December 2023 were also approved. These documents are crucial for transparency and accountability within the organisation.
During meetings, UAE NOC presented a commemorative shield to HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal and Yazan Al Shdeifat, Jordan’s Minister of Youth. Sultan Bin Sheikh Mejrin, a member of UANOC's Executive Board, was present during this gesture of goodwill.
Sultan Bin Sheikh Mejrin expressed that "The UAE National Olympic Committee’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration with Arab National Olympic Committees." He emphasised that these efforts help achieve UANOC's goals and enhance sports across the region.

The meetings served as a platform for exchanging ideas and developing strategic plans to support Arab sports both regionally and internationally. Sultan Bin Sheikh Mejrin highlighted their importance in sharing visions and formulating strategies to advance sports at various levels.
