UAE Weather: Humid Conditions And Fog Expected Across Regions Through Saturday
The National Centre of Meteorology states that humid weather is set to persist across some inland and coastal parts of the UAE, with fog or light fog possible during morning hours from the start of the forecast period until 31st January, while daytime conditions generally remain fair to partly cloudy with intermittent low clouds and occasional light rainfall.
Across the forecast window, temperatures trend upwards on Thursday before a clear drop on Friday, while winds vary between north-westerly, south-easterly, south-westerly and north-easterly flows at mostly light to moderate strengths, and sea conditions range from slight to rough in the Arabian Gulf and remain slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

For the first day of the period, the National Centre of Meteorology expects early morning humidity over selected inland and coastal locations, where fog or light fog may form, then skies become fair to partly cloudy later, with low clouds possible over eastern areas and a small chance of light rainfall during morning hours, while seas stay slight in the Sea of Oman and slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf.
On Wednesday, humid air again dominates morning conditions, especially over western inland and coastal zones, with potential fog or light fog affecting visibility, then the atmosphere turns fair to partly cloudy, and low clouds are likely over eastern and northern regions, while winds blow from the south-east to north-east at 10 to 25 km/h, sometimes reaching 35 km/h, with slight seas in both regional waters.
Thursday’s pattern begins with humid conditions and a risk of light fog over parts of the coast, followed by generally fair to partly cloudy skies that may turn more cloudy over some coastal and northern areas during the night, when light rainfall becomes possible, while temperatures record a gradual increase compared with the previous days.
During Thursday, winds shift between south-westerly and north-westerly, remain light to moderate overall, and occasionally freshen, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and gusts up to 35 km/h, and the Arabian Gulf transitions from slight to moderate, becoming rough westward late at night, whereas the Sea of Oman stays slight.
On Friday, humid air returns during the morning over certain inland regions before giving way to fair to partly cloudy weather, though some northern and eastern locations may see increased cloud cover during daylight hours, bringing a chance of rainfall and a noticeable fall in temperatures compared with Thursday’s higher values.
UAE weather forecast: detailed daily winds and marine conditions
Friday’s winds are expected to come from the south-west, turning north-west at times, with light to moderate strength that can become active, especially over the sea, where speeds range between 10 and 30 km/h and may reach 40 km/h, leading to rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate seas that turn rough at night in the Sea of Oman.
By Saturday, morning humidity again increases over inland areas with a renewed chance of fog or light fog before skies gradually clear to fair or partly cloudy, while low clouds develop over selected coastal and northern areas, and north-westerly winds blow at light to moderate speeds, occasionally active, between 10 and 25 km/h with gusts up to 40 km/h, making seas moderate to rough in both main bodies of water.

This sequence of forecasts from the National Centre of Meteorology outlines a humid and sometimes foggy pattern for the UAE through 31st January, with shifting wind directions, changing sea states in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman, and temperature variations peaking on Thursday before cooling on Friday, alongside recurring chances of light rainfall in eastern, northern and coastal areas.
