UAE Braces For Dust, Rain, And Cooler Temperatures This Week

The UAE National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts a mix of dust-stirring winds, rain, and a temperature drop across various regions until next Thursday. As the weather takes a turn, residents can expect a blend of clear to partly cloudy skies, with possibilities of rain and fluctuating wind speeds adding a dynamic to the daily forecast.

Weekly Weather Overview

Starting Monday, the forecast indicates clear skies with occasional partly cloudy moments, particularly in the south during the afternoon. This may lead to the formation of some cumulus clouds, bringing with it the chance of rain. Wind conditions are expected to be light to moderate, ranging from southeasterly to northeasterly, with speeds hitting 10 to 20 km/h and peaking at 35 km/h. Maritime conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea will see regular waves.

By Tuesday, the weather pattern remains similar, with clear to partly cloudy skies. The west and south may see additional cloud coverage, including some cumulus clouds, raising the possibility of rain. Wind speeds will increase slightly, potentially stirring dust as they swing from southeasterly to northeasterly at 10 to 25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to maintain regular wave conditions.

The forecast for Wednesday mirrors that of Tuesday, with the addition of regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and consistent wave conditions in the Sea of Oman. Wind conditions will also follow the previous pattern, contributing to dust-stirring at times.

Concluding the week, Thursday's weather is anticipated to be clear with intervals of partly cloudy skies. The west and south might witness cumulus clouds, accompanied by a noticeable temperature drop, especially in the western regions. Wind speeds will vary, with southwesterly winds becoming active and potentially stirring sand at 15 to 25 km/h, escalating up to 40 km/h. Sea conditions could turn rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman during the night.

This week's weather dynamics, characterized by varying wind speeds, temperature fluctuations, and potential rainfall, mark a significant shift in the seasonal weather pattern. As the NCM continues to monitor these changes, residents are advised to stay updated on the latest weather forecasts.
