UAE And Uzbekistan Launch Zero Bureaucracy Programme And Five Million AI Engineers Initiative For Government Modernisation

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, attended the launch of two significant initiatives in Tashkent. These are the "Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme" and the "Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers Initiative." The events were part of a strategic partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan aimed at modernising government operations.

The Uzbekistan Zero Bureaucracy Forum focused on simplifying government processes to enhance service efficiency. By reducing administrative hurdles, the programme aims to improve innovation within government bodies. This initiative is inspired by the UAE's successful model, which has improved customer satisfaction and government efficiency.

UAE and Uzbekistan Launch Key Initiatives

The strategic partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan began in 2019, focusing on modernising government functions across various sectors. This collaboration was renewed in April 2021 for six more years. The agreement aims to expand joint programs and strengthen knowledge exchange opportunities between both nations.

During the Uzbekistan Artificial Intelligence Forum, discussions centred around AI's role in enhancing government readiness. The "Five Million Uzbek AI Prompt Engineers" initiative was introduced to develop specialised AI skills among five million people over three years. This effort is expected to accelerate innovation and support economic growth.

The AI forum also included interactive sessions on using artificial intelligence to enhance learning and develop personalised education solutions. Various AI-driven technological solutions were showcased across vital sectors, highlighting their potential impact on economic development.

The cooperation for 2023–2026 will focus on 14 new pillars, including industrial development, digital transformation, health, and leadership development. These efforts aim to support Uzbekistan’s Vision 2040 by leveraging global best practices in public administration.

Expanding Joint Programs

The events saw participation from ministers and officials from both countries. They shared best practices in eliminating bureaucracy and adopting AI solutions in government work. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and drive economic and social development through improved government services.

The forums highlighted how simplifying procedures can positively impact quality of life while driving economic growth. By adopting global best practices, both nations aim to build future-ready governments capable of meeting modern challenges effectively.
