UAE Enhances Uzbek Government Cadres' HR Capabilities Through Strategic Partnership

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently taken a significant step towards strengthening its strategic partnership with Uzbekistan through a specialized program aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Uzbek government officials. This initiative focuses on various domains, including human resources and human capital investment, underscoring the commitment of both nations towards government modernization.

The program welcomed a delegation from Uzbekistan, consisting of officials from the Office of the President, the Agency for the Development of Public Service, and various ministries. The primary objective of their visit was to gain insights into the UAE government's best practices in human resources management, particularly the role played by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) in overseeing and improving these processes.

With an eye on the future, the UAE government emphasizes the importance of investing in human capital and attracting skilled professionals. It regards the development of national human resources and governmental skills as crucial investments. The UAE's approach to human resources management is considered a model for governments worldwide, adept at adapting to the changing needs and future demands of the labor market.

The collaboration between the UAE and Uzbekistan extends across various governmental areas, with both countries benefiting from shared knowledge and experiences. This partnership is facilitated through initiatives like the UAE Government Experience Exchange Program.

During their visit, the Uzbek delegation participated in a training program and workshops organized by FAHR. They were introduced to "Bayanati," the UAE's Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS), learning about its objectives, principles, and successes in managing and developing government talent. The sessions also covered FAHR's strategies, policies, legislation related to human resources, and ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing employee well-being and their contributions to government development.

Furthermore, discussions were held on improving and enhancing Uzbekistan's electronic HR platform, "hrm.argos.uz," leveraging insights from the UAE's experience.

The strategic partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan was formalized in 2019, focusing on government modernization across 37 areas of cooperation. This collaboration has been instrumental in advancing the capabilities of Uzbek employees through comprehensive training programs, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between these two nations.
