Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Attends UAE-Uzbekistan Government Knowledge Exchange Retreat In Tashkent
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended the UAE-Uzbekistan Government Knowledge Exchange Retreat in Tashkent. The event, part of his official visit to Uzbekistan, aimed to enhance knowledge exchange and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries. Saida Mirziyoyeva and Jamshid Khodjaev also participated in this significant gathering.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the UAE's dedication to forming effective partnerships worldwide. Under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE is committed to fostering cooperation that promotes development and empowers societies for a prosperous future.
The strategic partnership with Uzbekistan has yielded remarkable results across various sectors. It serves as a model for international collaboration, focusing on sustainable development, knowledge-sharing, and enhancing government systems. The aim is to improve efficiency, flexibility, and future-readiness while enhancing the quality of life for people in both nations.
The retreat provided a platform for ministers and senior officials from both countries to exchange ideas and experiences. Discussions centred on ambitious initiatives and transformative projects aimed at driving excellence in government administration, accelerating digital transformation, and boosting economic opportunities for mutual benefit.
Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, highlighted the evolution of the UAE-Uzbekistan strategic partnership since 2019. Over five years, this collaboration has achieved notable successes in 41 sectors. He described it as a globally distinctive model that benefits communities and fosters a brighter future.
The retreat discussed transformative projects and strategic initiatives designed to create new pathways for collaboration between the UAE and Uzbekistan. It explored fresh approaches to exchanging expertise, adopting best practices, and generating ideas to accelerate progress in key national sectors.
Key Areas of Discussion
The retreat covered eight key areas: investment and economic growth; energy and infrastructure development; digital transformation; education and community development; environment; health; tourism; and government development. These discussions aimed at generating new ideas and solutions crucial for advancing sustainable development.
This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of both nations to work together towards shared goals. By focusing on these critical areas, they aim to drive progress that benefits their citizens while setting an example for international cooperation.
