Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Visits UMEX And SimTEX 2026

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has visited the seventh editions of UMEX and SimTEX at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, which run until 22 January 2026. The exhibitions focus on unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, simulation and training technologies for civilian, commercial and defence uses.

Organised by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, UMEX and SimTEX 2026 bring together government bodies, private firms and international delegations. The event is designed to highlight future technologies that support national capabilities and industrial development in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.

During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed reviewed advanced solutions in unmanned systems and artificial intelligence presented by local, regional and global companies. These included platforms for simulation and training, as well as integrated systems aimed at enhancing performance across key transport, logistics, energy and precision industry sectors.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed also toured several national and international pavilions showcasing robotics, smart control systems and unmanned aerial vehicles. Exhibitors presented industrial and commercial applications of artificial intelligence, alongside simulation and training solutions that support both civilian activities and defence operations in complex environments.

This year’s editions include 260 delegations from 39 countries and more than 387 exhibiting entities. A wide group of specialists, experts and industry leaders attend, using the platform to discuss scientific advances, future trends in unmanned systems and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in commercial and civilian sectors.

The event also examines how unmanned systems and artificial intelligence support transport and logistics networks, the energy sector and other vital fields. Participants share strategic insights on how these technologies can improve operational safety, efficiency and accuracy, particularly within precision industries that are important to regional economic growth.

Accompanying H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed were H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court. The delegation also included Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Mohamed bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Ghanem Sultan Ahmed Alsuwaidi, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri and Brigadier General Mohammed Obaid Al Marshoudi.

UMEX and SimTEX 2026 underline Abu Dhabi’s role as a regional hub for unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, simulation and training. By gathering global expertise and advanced solutions in one venue, the exhibitions support informed dialogue on future technologies and their practical use across strategic sectors in the UAE and beyond.
