Youth MMA Championship To Kick Off At UAE University In Al Ain

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation has recently unveiled plans for the Youth MMA Championship, set to take place at the UAE University in Al Ain on the 24th of February. This event is particularly significant as it marks the commencement of the Federation's new season, filled with thrilling competitions. The championship is designed to cater to young athletes, specifically those in the Youth C category (born in 2011 and 2012), Youth B category (born in 2009 and 2010), and Youth A category (born in 2007 and 2008).

Participants in this event will have the opportunity to demonstrate their prowess across various weight classes, with each bout comprising three rounds of two minutes each. Mohammed bin Dalmouk Al Dhaheri, a board member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, expressed enthusiasm about hosting this inaugural MMA event of the season at UAE University. He highlighted the championship's role in providing a platform for athletes to kickstart their season effectively, allowing them to measure their skills against some of the best competitors in the nation.

Al Dhaheri also pointed out that such competitions are crucial for identifying and nurturing talent with the potential for professional growth within the sport.
