The "UAE Tour," initiated in 2019, has swiftly become a significant event on the UAE's annual calendar, drawing international attention. The tour showcases landmarks like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi, enhancing the country's image.

According to the organising committee's data for 2024, nearly 4,000 hotel nights were booked during the men's tour and 2,000 during the women's tour.

The event has seen remarkable champions over the years. Slovenia's Primoz Roglic won the first UAE Tour in February 2019. Britain's Adam Yates secured victory in 2020's final stage. Tadej Pogačar from UAE Team Emirates triumphed twice in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, Belgian Remco Evenepoel claimed the title, followed by Lennard Kämna in 2024.

Fabrizio D'Amico, Director of the UAE Tour, highlighted that consistent support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council has been crucial for its growth. This backing has elevated the event to a prominent position among major cycling competitions worldwide. The technical and logistical teams have played vital roles in this achievement.

Future Prospects and Participation

Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, expressed pride in reaching the seventh edition of this event. He noted that it will occur next February with top cycling stars participating. Al Awani emphasised that showcasing the UAE's social, cultural, and economic diversity is a collective effort aimed at presenting an outstanding event.
