UAE-Thailand Business Forum In Sharjah Aims To Enhance Investment Opportunities And Strategic Partnerships

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently hosted the UAE-Thailand Business Forum. This event marked a significant visit from the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry's high-level delegation. During the forum, Dr. Visit Limlurcha, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, highlighted Thailand's interest in strengthening economic ties with the UAE. He noted that Thai businesses are keen to expand their presence in the UAE market, particularly in Sharjah. This emirate offers a favourable business climate with numerous investment incentives.

Fatema Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of International Relations at SCCI, emphasised the importance of this forum in enhancing trade relations between the UAE and Thailand. She stated that these discussions aim to deepen bilateral ties and serve both nations' business interests. The Sharjah Chamber is committed to leveraging these relations for mutual benefit.

The relationship between the UAE and Thailand has seen remarkable growth across various sectors in recent years. The non-oil trade between the two countries increased by 21% in 2022, reaching $6.1 billion.
