UAE Team Emirates' Isaac Del Toro Wins Historic 2025 Milano-Torino Race

Isaac del Toro, a promising young cyclist from UAE Team Emirates-XRG, clinched victory in the 2025 Milano-Torino race. The 21-year-old Mexican rider executed a flawless final stretch to secure his first one-day win. Previously, Del Toro had shown his potential in Tirreno-Adriatico while supporting Juan Ayuso, the eventual winner of that race.

Del Toro's triumph was a testament to the collective effort of UAE Team Emirates-XRG. Each team member played a crucial role in setting up Del Toro for success. The decisive moment came when Del Toro launched a race-winning attack with Ben Tulett from Visma-Lease a Bike and Tobias Halland Johannessen of Uno-X Pro Cycling. In the end, Del Toro outpaced both competitors to claim victory.

Crossing the finish line with a celebratory bow, Del Toro became the first rider from UAE Team Emirates-XRG to win this prestigious event. His victory also marked him as the first Mexican to win Milano-Torino in its 149-year history. This achievement was particularly sweet for the team after finishing second, third, and fourth in last year's edition.

Del Toro expressed immense joy after his win: "I am super happy about it, the team worked really hard for this. I am super happy, really. I realise my first victory this year and I cannot be more happy. I really enjoy and I really like this race, and I cannot believe I made it. In the end, I played my cards and it is so special."

The critical move came just over 200 metres from the finish line when Del Toro surged past Tulett. Halland Johannessen's chances faded as Tulett couldn't respond to Del Toro's acceleration. This victory marked UAE Team Emirates-XRG’s 19th win of the season and featured the fastest ascent of Superga in recent years.
